The Challenge: An Australian equipment manufacturer had been selling termite detection equipment locally for over a decade.   They wanted to move into the US market on a shoe string budget.  However when talking to termite inspectors in the USA, they quickly found that they have never used any form of electronic equipment for detecting termites nests.  Testing equipment that was standard to the Aussie like a moisture sensor or radar were completely foreign.  There was a massive education campaign needed to explain how the technology worked before they could suggest the customer should buy it.  Their web pages were technical, text heavy and didn’t explain the benefits of how the electronic device would make a difference to the profitability of the business.  So a sales video using PowerPoint animation using screen capture with voice over was created.

Target Market: Termite pest controller who has a few termite inspectors on staff.  Male, 40+, living in southern states of USA

Purpose: To showcase the technical details of how the termite device works and to provide a business case to show the effect the device can have on growing their business as an investment, rather than just an expensive operational tool. To automate the sales process by explaining the benefits of the device.
